Matthew Hooker, 46, who was convicted for stalking Nicole Kidman in the year 2001 has been convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and mayhem for breaking a glass in a woman’s face, prosecutors said Tuesday.

In 2001, Kidman claimed Hooker went to her home and sent her letters stating he would like to tutor her son and daughter. He was then ordered to stay away from Nic, for three years.

Hooker justified that saying, “I was attracted to her…I wrote her a love poem. I wrote her a letter. I went by her house to ask to take her to the ballet and to take her kids to ice cream. That’s it… All I know is, I’ve never been violent. I’ve never been angry, I’ve never harassed anyone.”

Hooker testified, that in December 2005, he approached the woman when she entered the bar and told her she was “hot.” The woman, who was not identified, ignored him until he started making unwanted advances to other women in the bar. She then confronted him, telling him he was rude. Hooker pushed her, she pushed back and he threw water in her face.

Prosecutors suggested that Hooker could face as much as seven years in prison for that assault!

Nicole Kidman apparently is begging her hubby to go slow on his career. The country music legend who has announced dates for his upcoming tour ‘Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing’ world tour will be playing 36 concerts in 33 cities in the U.S. and Canada opening in Phoenix.

An insider says, “Keith knows how upset Nicole is with his decision, yet Keith won’t budge. Sometimes he seems obsessed with his career, almost unhealthily so.”

Another source reveals, “Nicole is so concerned about a relapse that the pal says that if Nicole “so much as smells a whiff of (scandal) she will be out of that marriage in a New York minute.”

Now I sense something real fishy there!

Nicole Kidman must be thanking God twice daily, as she escaped unhurt from a car crash while shooting a stunt for the science-fiction blockbuster The Invasion.She became the highest paid actress in Hollywood, leapfrogging Julia Roberts, with her $21.8 million pay cheque for the movie.

However, she is back at work, her agents revealed. And she is giving her best for the movie that pays her, her career best pay

I thought the docs at Cedars Sinai Hospital, have by now, gotten used to all their hi-fi celeb patients… but since they don’t get to see Nicole Kidman everyday they seem to have taken full advantage of the situation.

Though everyone involved in the car crash during the shooting were very slightly injured, all of them were released from the hospital except Nic, who compared to them suffered no injuries, but was in a state of shock (as they put it).

Nic was retained at the hospital, while everyone else being released, for further examination by medical specialists, interns, two ambulance drivers, several male patients and the hospital janitorial staff.

The Fairytale Aussie couple were going through a rough patch since last few months when Country music star battled his alcohol addiction and entered rehab in October. Just as Keith began concentrating on his treatment, he was accused of unprotected sex by model Amanda Wyatt.

However, Keith was more than happy as Nicole stood by him persistently throughout his rehab and the controversies that surrounded him during this time.

“My wife stayed extraordinarily strong and loving,” he said in a video statement posted online.

A source says, “They now know they need to rebuild trust, keep on top of his recovery program, and attend counseling.” According to a friend that should not be a problem as they are “100 percent committed.”

Nicole Kidman has recovering from the shock of nearly fatal car crash on the site of her new movie, The Invasion.

Nic was the wheel of a Jaguar filming a scene in LA, in which she had is trying t escape a zombie like alien creatures hanging on to the bonnet of her car. The car was being towed by a rig to give the appearance that she was driving and when the rig skidded taking a corner at 45mph, it caused the car to hit a pole.

Accompanying Nic, in the car was child actor Jackson Bond. Fortunately both of them were wearing seat belts that helped them escaping uninjured. But this nearly fatal experience has left Nic ‘Shocked’.

Nic was examined for two hours and advised rest in the Cedars Sinai Medical Centre before she resumed filming the movie.

Keith Urban released a four minute video on his website thanking his wife Nicole Kidman for staying staying “extraordinarily strong and loving” through his three month stint in rehab. 39 year old Urban also thanked his family, friends and fans for their support while he battled alcohol abuse at the Betty Ford clinic in Palm Springs, California. Urban dismissed speculation that said his decision to enter rehab came after one major incident where he went off the rails. “There was no big cataclysmic event that happened right before I went in. But, what it was a lot of small things that were happening in my
life and a lot of small moments that were starting to accumulate that were telling me very loud and clear that I was a long way from my program of recovery and they were making my life unmanageable. I got to the point where I wanted to go in for treatment.” Well and good Mr Urban, you should have also thanked your wife for staying with you even when rumors about your supposed affair with Amanda Wyatt went public.

Baz Luhrman’s new film named ‘Australia’ with Nicole Kidman, Bryan Brown, Jack Thompson and David Wenham will be one of the biggest productions of Hollywood. . Luhrmann said when he was growing up, American films showed dramatic landscapes in the US and always wanted to portray something similar using the beauty of Australia. Kidman plays an English aristocrat who inherits a cattle station. To move a herd across the country before a bomb attack during World War II, she takes help from a drover played by Jackman. The movie is an outback epic.

Keith Urban has finally completed his rehab. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were seen together after the Golden Globes awards function holding hands and blissful at the private CAA Golden Globes after-party in Los Angeles.

In more good Keith Urban news, he is set to tour again as well.  The Tennessean reports that Urban will kick off the “Love, Pain & The Whole Crazy World Tour” in April in Germany and the United Kingdom, it was announced today. The country star’s tour will stop in Australian arenas in May and hit U.S. and Canadian arenas in June. So life has started looking up for Keith again!

Nicole Kidman had pulled pap Jamie Fawcett to the court but then both the parties weren’t present for the hearing. Last October Fawcett is accused of possessing a listening device outside Kidman’s mansion in the Harbourside suburb of Darling Point. More complaints were filed against him by the couple after the pap followed them during their Holidays. The next hearing will be scheduled for the next month.
